Pencil The new interview process while getting odd jobs and temp work done.

The trend to hiring temp workers, for temp work or odd jobs, is picking up as the traditional interview, that waist time, and really doesn't let the employer know who they are hiring, is going out of style.

This is a link to the basic idea of the way temp is taking off...

And this is a view from both sides:

First the temp workers side... Say a person is looking for a job but they want to work while they are looking for a job so they pick up temp work in areas where they excel or doing things they love to do. If they do the work well maybe the person or company will hire them full time. If they don't hire them full time, at least they got paid for an "interview".

The employers side... The employers post a need for an odd job or temp work they have. Temp workers reply to the post and the employer hires the worker, all the while watching to see if this person is someone they want to hire on full time. If they do the job, but not to well, they pay the person and send them on their way. If the worker does a great job maybe the employer will hire them on full time. The point is the employer has no commitment to hiring a full time employee but the work gets done.

The reason we are seeing hundreds of people and companies start to post odd jobs and temp work is because neither side has to commit to anything but temp workers get paid in the mean time and employers get their work done while "interviewing" potential employees.
