Good general people management book
The latest version of Mullin's book 'Management and Organizational Behaviour' (2007, 8th Edition) FT Press, is well worth a read - and I am not the only one who thinks so. It is used a great deal at University level for OB courses, and has just received the thumbs up in Management Today as Book of the month for September.
It really is a good overview of the field, and uses plain language whilst maintaining a good analytical stance. I like the chapters on technology and of course on diversity, and also the one on 'strategy, ethics and responsibilities'. All very interesting stuff, with good case studies.
Perhaps we should do a 'book of the month' on BizFace?
