Now it is tricky for me to say too much about this book because I am likely to be a bit biased - I was involved in writing three of the chapters. However I do think it is an extremely good book, and offers a very much needed analysis of a wide range of issues around outsourcing. Hats off to Ruth Taplin for gathering together these chapters, she has made an excellent job of developing knowledge in this area.

Good idea, as we have chapters in it (even though we do not get money for sales) it would be good to see it promoted further.

At surface outsourcing looks a good option but their are several downsides too. One need to be careful about choosing vendors specially from country like Philippines where this is just a beginning and we need to educate them a lot. I have several bad experience with them, specially on delivery on time and some copyright issues.

Any company from US or UK looking to outsource to India or other countries must look for vendor credibility before going ahead. The cultural differences, language problem often leads to confusion.

Now Internet is changing, finding an suitable partner is the toughest task. Even the service providers from these countries are worried, if they are going to be paid or the work will be approved or not.
