Questionmark11 Positive psychology and healthcare

I know we have a positive psychology section in BizFace, but I thought it might be useful to ask those interested in health to have a look at that section and see if/how they feel these concepts can be used in managing healthcare organisations.

After all, we have similar issues in terms of motivating staff, helping them to stay engaged, use their strengths and so on.

But perhaps there are also broader issues related to the patients and carers where positive psychology could help.

I don't mean just in terms of therapy, but generally when looking after patients can we help them if we at least consider these aspects rather than focusing purely on the medical model - perhaps especially in mental health?

Any thoughts?

Stephanie
