I attended the Health Service Journal conference 'Our NHS, Our Future' today, where Professor the Lord Darzi of Denham (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State) presented a synopsis of the NHS Next Stage Review.

It was particularly interesting to hear the emphasis on patients, quality - and the workforce. An understanding that we can only achieve high quality patient care with a motivated and competent workforce.

I will post up some notes on other aspects of the conference tomorrow - there were some interesting talks.
