An interesting article in Health Service Journal again. This time the debate is around how many commissioning bodies we need (PCT - Primary Care Trust's are responsible for commissioning services in the UK)

Some suggest five would have more power, whereas others argue that we need local commissioning and therefore should keep the ones we have. There is also the usual issue of too much focus on the implications for acute trusts when much of the commissioning is actually for primary services (doctors and dentists).
