Cominfo Corporate Manslaughter Act

This comes into force in April 2008.

It includes responsibility for your employees and anyone they hurt if, for example, they have a crash while driving and you sent them out when they were obviously tired. Although this is covered under current health & safety rules, it makes it easier for organizations to be prosecuted - precisely because it removes the need for individuals to be held to account.

You can find out more about it on the following link:

http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/section5/chapter_b.html

Any questions/comments?

Default Re: Corporate Manslaughter Act

Hi Stephanie,

As you might have noticed from my Blog I can be a little annoyed by things in general. But I was wondering if Corporate Manslaughter applied to angry business consultants like myself commiting murder when some of our clients refuse to implement or take any action on things even they agree are needed.

But thankfully, I do my best to work with clients who do want to listen, act, and not just hear what they wanted to hear!

your rantinley

Roy
