It may come as a surprise to some but the Data Protection Act 1998 comes fully into force - today!
24 October 2007

Manual filing systems in existence before 24 October 1998 are now required to comply fully with the Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC).

So that is the last excuse anyone could have had.

Seriously - check that you are in compliance with the DP Act, it is simple to do, very inexpensive, and can save a lot of heartache!
