Hello Jo, all,
I am glad you tried out a posting, it is even simpler if you join as then you do not need to type in the 'image' that we use to check whether you are a real person and not a 'spam bot'.
Firstly let me assure you that the email details are never sold-on, and you will not be innundated with emails from us either, so have no concerns on that front. We want to build a community so would like people to join to develop that aspect - it generates more trust if you know who you are talking to, and also allows us to monitor what is going on (there are some funny people around sadly so we need to keep an eye on what is being posted). To join we do simply just need your email details so that we can confirm you are a real person who has asked to join, not a machine or someone trying to join up all their friends without asking them.
There are a number of things you can do as a member that you cannot get access to if unregistered, in particular you can download articles and white papers (attachments can only be downloaded by members) and can put adverts in our classified section, add links to the 'bizlinks' area, and create your own bloggs.
Furthermore, as a member you can make postings to any forum, therefore ask questions and help others - again building that community and developing your own knowledge. Members will also be able to take part in competitions that we will be doing as we grow.
I agree it is a problem deciding what things to join and what not to join, but if you want good quality interactions and information, or to generate business for your own company, then join us - have a look at the FAQ area for more details, and click around on the tabs at the top to see what else is available.
I hope you join us.
kind regards
Stephanie

Is it easy to use (partly why I am having a go now!)
I rarely register for these things - I am concerned about giving out my email details.
