Default Business promoting in movies

Hi

I was watching transformers on the weekend and Ebay is mentioned a few times. It did not sound very professional but it must have boosted traffic and sales for Ebay.

Has anyone watched the movie and what do you think?

I didn't see it but I suspect that as long as they were not saying that eBay was awful then it will have generated interest, particularly due to the nature of the eBay business.

I wonder if they were involved or if the writers just felt it fitted in to the film?

Of course, even if it was bad, there are some who say that there is no such thing as bad publicity - what do others think?

I meant to watch it and forgot...would love to hear more about what was actually said.

Even more, I would love to be in such a situation where people started talking about my business in films!

Cheers,
Alice

One of the robots in the movie quotes something like.

"Is your name Jo Bloggs, is your Ebay user id j_bloggs, where is the item you have listed on Ebay."

Jo Bloggs is just an example.

I agree, it would be great to have your business name mentioned in a popular movie. Time will tell
