Should SME's outsource?
SMe's together account for more than half of UK employment and business turnover, and to grow probably need to outsource or sub-contract quite a wide range of areas, including recruitment, training and research. They may need to use outsourcing to ensure they can access expertise, and to help them focus on their 'core'
But they do not usually have the internal resources capable of managing outsourcing processes. It depends what you are intending to outsource, how complex the process is, as to how much management they need.
Certainly it is an area not considered often enough by even large companies when planning outsourcing.
Could anyone share experiences about managing different types of outsourcing contracts?
