I've posted various bits on this topic on other forums. I note there has only been one posting on the subject in this forum, but I'm sure its on some of your minds!!
The question of business structure (interestingly) is something that some people dont actually consider when they set up in business, others do but arent sure what the options are or what benefits or costs are involved..
The attached document acts as an overview for anyone considering setting up a small business in England. The document doesnt replace the tailored advice of your highly professional Accountant - of course! If you dont have an Accountant I would suggest (predictably I know) that in the majority of cases you should get one. Building a good relationship with your Accountant can go a long way - whilst all good Accountants will give you advice on your business and not just crunch your numbers, a good relationship helps to ensure you are getting the very best from them.
