How to get your post count up
Recently we have started to ask members to make some postings before they can download white papers, this is standard practice on most forums (although at least we allow everyone to use a proper signature immediately, unlike many, as we like you to advertise).
I have been asked what is the best way to get the post count up. It is really simple as all posts count here (as long as they are not spamming, e.g. very long list of unbelievably cheap products will not count!)
All you have to do is welcome other members who say hello on the member forum, ask questions or just say 'thank you' for tips on the other forums, and/or write blogs (some say this is the more difficult option, but there are some who find it really easy!)
What really works is to get onto the forum, give yourself a bit of time to look around, and then you are more likely to benefit anyway from all the tips and ideas that are here. Remember to scroll down to see the different forums and that in each of these there are a number of different threads with ideas and help. Also, most of the members here are actually very skilled (in different areas) and asking questions will work. Don't worry if a thread was started months ago - we are still happy to start up the discussions again.
See my other post about how to actually reply and start up threads (basically look for the little grey boxes for different types of reply or 'new thread').
I hope that helps.
kind regards
Stephanie
