Royal Bank of Scotland shares rise on plans to raise cash

Shares in Royal Bank of Scotland, Britain's second-largest bank, are likely to come under pressure this morning as the bank prepares to launch a rights issue of between £5bn and £12bn to shore up its balance sheet.
