BizFace Forum Rules
In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact roymoggadmin or stephanie, who will be more than happy to help.
General Rules:
• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, although it is fine to say ‘thank you’ of course.
• Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
• Advertising, spamming and trolling (intentionally posting messages about sensitive topics constructed to cause controversy) is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.
• If you have asked a question or made a suggestion about BizFace please give us a little time to respond before chasing us. For style changes and general 'how-to' questions this should be 24 hours. For specific troubleshooting issues, use 12 hours as a guideline.
• We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate BizFace community standards. These include a range of products and services that are deemed not suitable, including adult content, drugs (including smoking) weapons, anything offensive to particular communities, the same of innapropriate products or services that may offend some members (including pets as this is primarily a business forum). The BizFace team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
• Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations is not allowed.
• Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed, although different people in the same organization may have separate accounts.
• While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about other business forums, we will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'ooh look, yet another bulletin board' threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other forums.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive or innapropriate posts without notice.
• If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
• Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
• We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules, as access to our forums are a privilege and not a right.
Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.
THE FOLLOWING CONTENT IS EXPLICITLY NOT ALLOWED:
Drugs, including smoking products
All weapons, including bladed and firearms
Adult or sexual
Exotic pets, human slavery or other products/services deemed unsuitable
USER NAMES AND AVATARS
Please note we will not accept user names or avatars that violate the rules above or that violate a tradmark or copyright of any company or organization. You may only use an avatar or name that is linked to an organization if you have legitimate rights to that (e.g. you are a Director or employee).
Advertising Services and Solicitation
We do not allow advertising or solicitation of banned, unethical or inappropriate products or services, including organizations that promote or subscribe to racist, sexist, homophobic or against any disadvantaged group. We reserve the right to remove any advert or post that violate BizFace standards.
Do remember to insert your website link in your personal ‘my profile’ area as well as in the BizLinks Showcase. Remember part of the purpose of BizLinks is to promote your organization.
Passwords
You should never give out your BizFace customer number or password to anyone, and you should not disclose server logins and/or passwords to anyone except through the BizFace support system. We can not take responsibility if you disclose this information to anyone else.
Links in Signatures
Links in signatures must follow these guidelines:
• Linking to a commercial product/service is fine, provided it is not a product or service that violates the BizFace community standards.
• Promotional text for a commercial product or service is ok, provided there are no price(s) of product(s) or service(s) listed. Use the classifieds area for pricing.
• The BizFace team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. (Examples include sites about drugs and/or sex.)
• Duplicate links to the same URL in a signature are not allowed.
Avatars
Adult content avatars are not permitted.
Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.
Signature Size Limits
All signatures should not exceed the following size limits:
• For text signatures: 4 lines normal size, 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. (Blank lines count as lines.)
• Do not use images with large text to bypass the previous item
• For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size
• Animated images in a signature are not allowed
We also reserve the right to generate specific rules that apply for certain forums in the future.
